Le Tanneur pieces made in France

At Le Tanneur, we place great importance on preserving French craftsmanship.

To celebrate the artistry and traditions of our country, we offer a selection of bags and leather goods entirely designed in our regions.

You will find these creations in our Madeleine, Louise, Sans Couture, and 125 collections.

These items, genuine pieces of artisanal leatherwork, are made in the Pays de la
Loire, utilizing skills from across France.

For example, our Madeleine line uses taurillon leather supplied by a family tannery located in Espelette, in the heart of the Basque Country.

Each Le Tanneur creation made in France
embodies, in its own way, our dedication to local savoir-faire and French craftsmanship.

Where are other Le Tanneur pieces made?

Leatherworking is an art that has spanned the ages and can now be found all over the globe. In addition to our workshops in France and our factory in Tunisia, we work closely with leatherworkers in Thailand, India, and China.

These partner workshops, with
us for over forty years, are direct contributors to leatherworking expertise.

They each bring unique skills. All leathers used for our Spring/Summer 2024 collection are certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), an organization that evaluates tanneries worldwide.

They ensure the authenticity and diversity of craftsmanship in our collections.

Thanks to the talent of these different workshops, all signatories of the Le Tanneur Charter, we create quality pieces that combine aesthetics, fair pricing, and ethics.

This international collaboration allows our brand to maintain high standards for each of its creations.
